First Looks

Some of the best memories I have after Nicholas' birth were seeing the looks on the faces of friends and family we hold dear the first time they were introduced to him. He had so many visitors those first few weeks, and since a picture speaks a thousand words, the following are some photos of those first and precious introductions:

Saying hi to mom and dad.

Grandma Cindy gets a quick snuggle.

Grandken holding his first grandbaby! Looking forward to when they can go on their first fishing trip together.

Nana drove down from Ocala the night before he was born.

Nicholas with a proud Grandad who was even happier that it was Saturday and did not have to rush off anytime soon :)

Uncle Bobby doing great holding his first baby! Bobby's birthday was the day before (April 19), and he jokingly referred to Nicholas as his little birthday present.

A proud Papito holding Nicholas.

Uncle Mike looking at his "awesome" nephew.

Aunt Tanya ready to volunteer her babysitting services!

Katie O'Shea was one of our first visitors when we arrived home from the hospital. Finally got to hold our little sailor.

Our neighbors Melissa, Drew, and little Ava brought us over a welcome home meal of sushi and beer (beer for the boys).

Toby catching a glimpse of his new baby brother.

Ronin kept his distance at first, but soon had a new favorite resting place in the house- Nicholas' nursery!

Uncle Trip finally gets to hold his nephew! Our first out-of-state visitor, Trip flew in from Washington, D.C. for Bobby's graduation weekend- by luck, the weekend after Nicholas was born!

Aunt Chris was in town from Gainesville, Florida for Bobby's graduation and was excited to greet her first great-nephew for the first time!

Great-Grandma Maitland and Maurice were able to come over for a visit and hold their great-grandson who looks just like their grandson Chris- his daddy! This picture is a sweet moment captured after Nicholas' baptism.

Nicholas was visited by more out-of-state relatives on Memorial Weekend when his Great-Uncle Richard and Great-Grandma flew in from Houston, Texas to hold the first great-grandson. Here he is pictured with Richard relaxing on a Sunday afternoon.

Great-Grandma B. holding him in his sailor pj's.

Nicholas already has friends close in age! Liam, who just turned 2 in March, was excited to hold his cousin Nicholas while Auntie Ilea assists :)

Father's Day weekend we did our first road trip to Ocala, Florida where Nicholas got to meet his Great-Uncle James and Great-Aunt Paula who drove down from Memphis, Tennessee for his baptism. He looks like a Stewart already-all legs!

Uncle Trip is excited to introduce Aunt Katie to her nephew. Both were able to fly down from D.C. to join us for Nicholas' baptism. This is Katie's firs time holding her nephew.

Great-Grandma Ann proudly shows off her great-grandson at his baptism reception at the the Stewart family lake house in Summerfield, Florida.
